The production of gas cylindres

SOFRENOR Cylinder gas LPG manufacturing process goes through various and distinct stages: cutting, putting the logo into place, welding, painting and gaz filling. 

Along the manufacturing process, we make sure that everything goes under great scrutiny as the security of our clients is our priority. The verification realized during the gas cylinders’ production phase is based on several elements particularly the welding, the installation of the gas valve, seal gas, tightening torque and more resistance to manipulation. 

It is only after all the security checks are realized and everything is put into place that our products enter the distribution phase. 

We remind you that the period of manufacturing of the gas cylinders is not the only time during which the bottles are controlled. They undergo further tests after being recovered from individuals and before being refilled.

The uses of our products are varied and their characteristics are defined by a very strict regulation.

They meet specific color codes for distributors. Their capacity varies from 3 to 35 kg. 

TYPES OF BOTTLES

Butane and propane are bottled in two types of containers:

• Bottles made of sheet steel

– butane : 6 or 13 kg

– propane : 5, 13, 30 or 35 kg

• Bottles made of composite materials or thin metal sheet: 10 kg

The quality and thickness of these bottles are carefully controlled and protected against the risk of corrosion.
